Our world is changing faster than ever before. Technology, lifestyle and career paths are not what they used to be. How do we prepare our students and ourselves for the global future? One excellent choice is to host an exchange student during the school year. There are a number of intercultural programs to choose from. The premier, oldest and most well established is - American Field Service or AFS - http://www.afsusa.org. AFS was created back around the time of World War I and is overseen by the U.S. Department of State. AFS-USA works toward a more just and peaceful world by providing international and intercultural learning experiences to individuals, families, schools and communities through a global volunteer partnership. Connecting lives, sharing cultures - AFS brings the world to our doorstep via hosting foreign students. For more informations please visit: http://www.afsusa.org
