Inspired by people watching, often in New York City, River Hill High School senior Alexa Marquis was determined to write and publish Little Do You Know—and not just start another one and abandon it halfway through.  Her character Wren, created partly as Alexa and her friend Emmy attended a concert in Central Park, transcended time and place, and emerged as a complexly nuanced person, a proverbial half of a whole, Charlie’s girlfriend, but also her own person.
