The 2026 Senior Handbook includes important information about senior portraits, events, class meetings, and graduation details as they become available. Seniors and families are encouraged to use this handbook to save important dates and stay up to date with the latest information.
Senior Events & Exams Schedule
🎓 Graduation Rehearsals & Meetings
⚠️Attendance at all rehearsals is required.(Please make adjustments to work schedules now)
May 20 – Auditorium (Periods 5 & 6)
• Overview of rehearsals
• What to expect at Merriweather
• Name pronunciation
• Awards Night preview (for invited students)
May 21 – Main Gym (Periods 5 & 6)
• Name pronunciation
• Processional/Recessional practice
May 22 – Auditorium (Periods 2–4)
• Students will be seated for extended periods — bring a book, cards, etc.
• Periods 2 & 3: Name pronunciation
• Period 4: Lunch & assembly line (Chromebook return, Obligation Check, Tickets Programs & Cap/Gown Distribution)
May 22 – Main Gym (Periods 5 & 6)
• Name pronunciation
• Processional/Recessional
May 26 – Main Gym (Period 1)
• Final rehearsal
⚠️ Important: All make-up exams must be completed before 10:00 AM on May 26. Students should not miss rehearsals for exams without administrative approval.
📅 Senior Grading & Exam Timeline
• May 12: Teachers may begin entering senior Q4 grades
• May 15: Last day for seniors at ARL & Q4 grades due
• May 18–22: Final exam window
• May 22: Exam grades due
• May 26: Last day for seniors
🏅 Senior Awards – Deadline Extended
We are now accepting submissions through May 1, 2026 for seniors who have received awards from community organizations.

Note: College/university scholarships will be collected via the Senior Survey and will not be included in the awards program.

🌅 Senior Sunset – May 15 (6:00–8:00 PM)
All seniors are welcome! Bring blankets, friends, and snacks to share.
⚠️ No rain date.
🥞 Senior Breakfast – May 21 (Period 3)
Held in the RHHS Cafeteria (9:45–10:40 AM)
We are seeking donations and volunteers to make this event special!
• Non-perishable items: Drop off by May 20 (Front Office, labeled “Senior Breakfast”)
• Perishable items: Drop off morning of the event

⚠️ Students must clear all obligations to receive tickets.

• Each senior will receive 10 guest tickets
• No additional tickets will be available
• Families may coordinate exchanges independently
📖 Graduation Programs
Each senior will receive 2 printed programs at school (not at the ceremony).
QR codes linking to digital programs will be available on-site and online.
📺 Graduation Viewing Information
• Livestream available at www.hcpss.org
• Broadcast begins ~10 minutes before ceremony
• Archived videos available afterward on HCPSS YouTube
• Rebroadcasts will air on Comcast (Channel 95) and Verizon (Channel 42)
