HCPSS HBCU College and Career Fair

HCPSS is thrilled to host the second annual Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) College and Career Fair! This dynamic event offers students and their families a unique opportunity to connect with HBCU representatives and a wide variety of career and trade professionals. The event is open to all HCPSS students and families.

Pre-registration is encouraged. It helps us efficiently check participants in at the door and ensure a smooth experience for all attendees.  (Registration Link)

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet HBCU representatives ready to share insights about their institutions, along with career and trade organizations representing fields such as the Armed Services, Baltimore County EMT, Construction, Howard County Emergency Dispatch, HCPSS Recruitment and Hiring, Wegmans, and more.

Students are strongly encouraged to bring copies of their résumé and transcript, as they may:

  • Receive on-site employment opportunities from participating employers.
  • Obtain on-site admissions decisions from college representatives (Class of 2026 only).
  • Be considered for potential scholarship opportunities.

Bringing these materials will help students take full advantage of the opportunities available at the event.

The excitement continues with interactive workshops focused on financial aid, scholarships, essay writing, and the college application process. Students will also gain practical skills through sessions on creating a standout résumé and cover letter, as well as strategies for mastering a successful interview.

Don’t miss this powerful opportunity to explore pathways, build connections, and plan for the future! For more information and to register, please visit our website (Click Here).
