Back-to-School has finally arrived as we welcome students on August 24th and parents on August 27th. We are excited for a new school year! It is my deepest hope that we focus on what is strong with our goal to finish even stronger. The RHHS staff will be committed to preparing our students for success in the future. The RHHS students will be challenged to be engaged with both school and community life. Parents will be highly valued partners as we work together to guide our students to find balance between academics, athletics, and activities and to find individual pathways to college and career.
What's new this year?
As new principal for RHHS, I am honored to lead a school that demonstrates strengths each and every day. Our students welcomed staff with ice cream and smiles. They have exhibited determation and discipline with the start of atheltic practices. They have volunteered time to help prepare classrooms and host orientations. Our teachers are achievers themselves as they worked diligently to be ready for our first day. Our parents are generous with their time and their support through PTSA, Boosters, and the many forms of staff appreciation. The single question asked most of me is, "What do you expect?" I expect that we will be better tomorrow than we are today, for every day this school year! As a parent here in Howard County, as a former teacher and a long-time principal in HCPSS, and as an educator, I believe in the future for which I am committed to preparing our children.
