NEHS Book Drive

Give the gift of reading by donating your gently used books! From January 28th to February 28th, drop off donations in Ms. Mitchell’s room (239). All children’s books will benefit Our Daily Bread and all adult books will benefit Caritas House Assisted Living. NEHS members are eligible to earn credits for donating. 10 books = .5 credits.

The spring sports season begins on Saturday, February 29th. All 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders planning on trying out for a Spring Sport must have a 2.0 GPA with no more than one failing grade for the 2nd marking period. WJZ Black History Oratory Competition

WJZ-TV is sponsoring the 25th annual Black History Oratory Competition. Essays are due January 31st. Top prizes include a $2500 scholarship. The top 20 essay will be invited to perform their oration at the Reginald F. Lewis museum on Sunday, February 23rd.
