We are excited to announce that the 2016-2017  One Book One River Hill  is All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely. This timely, funny and smart young adult novel is about growing up, deciding who you are, and what it means to be a good person. These two authors tackle a difficult subject of police brutality and racism through the eyes of two high school students, one white, one black. We encourage all parents, students and staff to read this powerful book and participate in the discussions and bookish fun we have planned throughout the year.
 
The idea behind One Book One River Hill is to build community through a shared reading experience.  This year, Ms. Curry, who leads this organization, has partnered with Maryland Humanities to make books available for students. Please come to room 234 to sign out the book or get on the waiting list. Copies are also available in our Media Center.
