The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) is a group of states working together to develop a set of assessments that measure whether students are on track to be successful in college and their careers. These high-quality, computer-based K-12 assessments in mathematics and English language arts (ELA)/literacy give schools, teachers, students, and parents better information on whether students are on track in their learning and for success after high school, and tools to help teachers customize learning to meet student needs.
We will be administering the English 10, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2 PARCC examinations beginning on Thursday, April 21. All students currently enrolled in these classes will need to take these exams to satisfy graduation requirements. Please encourage your students to be present on the days when they are to be tested. Teachers will be provided a list of when students are being tested and will share that information with their students. There will also be posters on display outside of the cafeteria for students to view that will list when and where they are to report for testing.
