University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is looking for River Hill to nominate 2 juniors interested in applying for the Morehead-Cain Scholarship. The scholarship is a four-year, fully funded educational experience for students of the highest caliber at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The main selection criteria are Leadership, Scholarship, Moral Force of Character, and Physical Vigor.
Leadership - Morehead-Cains influence, energize, and inspire others to work together to make an impact. It's more than titles held or roles played. For scholars, leadership is about courage and action. They get things done.
Scholarship - Morehead-Cain Scholars live for opportunities to learn. They thrive in an academically rigorous environment, yet are able to contribute to their communities in other ways. They are ready to take full advantage of UNC's academic excellence.
Moral Force of Character - Compassion, courage, humility, self-awareness, and a sense of purpose-these are the core values of the Morehead-Cain community. Morehead-Cains embrace the fact that htey are growing and learning, and are energized by the journey ahead.
Physical Vigor - Morehead-Cains demonstrate a sustained commitment to fitness and wellness. They value what is gained-collaboration, sportsmanship, discipline, stamina, and persistence-by preparing for and engaging in competitions and performances.
