On Wednesday, September 30th, from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm, the Howard County Library System and NEHS will be co-hosting a virtual event that will feature local authors and writers who will share their paths to English-related careers. Learn what they studied in college and outside of college, and what led them to the jobs they have today. Chat with the authors to ask them questions and learn about their career paths and current specialties.
Hear from Bruce Goldfarb author of 18 Tiny Deaths: The Untold Story of Frances Glessner Lee and the Invention of Modern Forensics; award winning authors, Jerdine Nolen, author of Freedom Bird: A Tale of Hope and Courage, and Laura Shovan, author of A Place at the Table; and RHHS Alumna Lillian Yu, a former writer for NBC, and Warner Brothers, and currently a television producer working on Kung Fu.
**Current and prospective NEHS members CAN earn project credits from attending, even if it is before they are accepted into the society.
