An ARL Academy of Finance RHHS team, consisting of Laurence Crandon, Sanket Shah, Max Carlson and Connor McCullough won the year-long regional Stock Market Game (#1 out of 247 teams in the region). Each of the 247 teams in the region was given a paper portfolio to invest $100,000.00. The team with the highest return wins. The team's portfolio, named Harambee (Swahili word for 'all pull together/unity"), had an 18% return based on the securities they selected; their top stock picks, Nvidia and Boeing, grew by 46% and 33% respectively.
RHHS students will be celebrated on May 17, at Towson University at the Maryland Council on Economic Education Student Achievement Awards Luncheon.
