On Sunday, January 8, members of River Hill's Alpha Achievers attended the 42nd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Breakfast at Martin's West in Baltimore.  The event was hosted by the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, Kappa Phi Lambda Chapter.  This year's theme was "Injustice Anywhere is a Threat to Justice Everywhere."  The event was attended by dignitaries to include political, school system, and community leaders from Howard County and surrounding areas.  Students were able to experience listening to speeches about the influence of the legacy of Dr. King while networking with Howard County leaders as well as other members of Alpha Achievers from other schools across the county. This year's group of River Hill Alpha Achievers had the highest attendance of their members at the event since coming into existence at our school.
