"Character is higher than intellect." Ralph Waldo Emerson
On December 21, 2016, RHHS will kick off a cultural proficiency journey together. Students and adults at River Hill High School will explore and develop the following competencies critical to success in college and careers.
Personal Intelligence complements Intellectual Intelligence. How will we prepare for success beyond school? An important aspect of learning is the focus on developing kind and caring individuals, responsible and globally competitive workers, and every day citizens who will make a difference in the world! It is critical to develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will help us be successful in a future with a single constant--CHANGE.
The Formative Five by Thomas R. Hoerr refers to these critical attributes as we strive to raise student voice for excellence and equality at River Hill High School.
A collective voice-or One River Hill- will help us raise awareness and make positive change. Every week,Hawk Time remains available for student voice conversations. And every day, student-staff conversations will nurture a positive school environment because every day is a great day to be a Hawk!
