Parking Permit applications for the 2023-2024 school year are now available.
Applications will be accepted from August 8 until August 18. Student parking is limited. Only Seniors and Juniors are eligible to apply for a parking permit.
Consideration for a parking permit will be based on the following priorities:
- Seniors
- Juniors who participate in…
- HCC/Jumpstart
- Work Release
- GT Research
- CRD/Apprenticeship Programs
Parking Regulations:
- Parking on school grounds during school hours is by PERMIT ONLY.
- Parking permits must be hung from the rearview mirror of the vehicle while parked on school grounds.
- Student parking is RESTRICTED solely to areas designated for student parking. Students are not permitted to park in any areas for staff or visitor parking.
- Parking permit is non-transferable to other students.
- A parking permit may be revoked if a student is absent or tardy ten or more days per semester.
- Reckless driving will result in an immediate loss of parking privilege.
- Parking in the school lot is a privilege not a right; if it is not used responsibly, it will be withdrawn.
Application Process:
- Parking applications and permits are only available to 11th and 12th graders who have a valid Maryland Driver’s License. Students with learner’s permits must wait to apply until they have received their license. Please attach a copy of your license to the application.
- Complete the application form with all vehicle and license information.
- Paper copies will be available in the front office.
- Drop of the completed application in the front office between 9am and 2pm from August 8 through August 18.
- DO NOT INCLUDE PAYMENT WITH YOUR APPLICATION.
- Safe Driving Presentations will not be held for the 2023-2024 school year.
Picking Up Your Permit:
- Students who are allocated a parking permit will be sent an email.
- Starting the week of August 21st, students may come to school and pick up their parking permit between 10am-2pm (must have already submitted a completed application).
- Students must meet with Mr. Penn to review parking expectations.
- Permits are $15.00 and we accept checks or exact change. Checks should be made out to River Hill High School.
- Once school begins for students, permits can be picked up before or after school only.
