Course Registration Information for the 2022-2023 School Year

The course Registration for next school year has opened for parents and students. Students were given information on registration during Hawktime lessons before break. This process will be completed online through HCPSS Connect. All students must choose 7 courses and 3 alternates for next year. All student must enter their course requests online by January 18th.

Please note the importance of alternate courses. Students need to be sure that the courses they select are classes that they want to take. Please do not duplicate course requests or alternates. 

Please take time to talk with your child about which courses they might be interested in taking. We encourage students to challenge themselves and also have a balanced schedule that they feel they can manage. For a complete list of courses and descriptions, please reference the HCPSS Catalog of Approved Courses.

Important Dates

January 6th - Parent Scheduling Night for incoming and current River Hill families

January 18th - Students have to complete and save their registered courses in HCPSS Connect

January 18th - February 16th - Counselors will be meeting with all 9-11th grade students to discuss registered courses

Counselor Meetings

All current 9th–11th graders will be asked to sign up for an appointment slot to meet virtually with their counselor. These meetings will take place in January and February. During these meetings, counselors will be reviewing course selections, recommendations, and future plans.  Links wil be shared with students where they can go into the calendar and select a 15-minute time slot. We will work to make sure all students have scheduled a meeting time.
