Students Back to School Orientation

Date: Thursday, September 3, 2020 Time: 9:00-11:00am
9-10am for all RHHS students, 10-11am for all new 9th-10th grade students

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! All RHHS students are invited to attend a virtual orientation at 9:00am on Thursday, September 3rd. Students can access the orientation presentation which is posted on the RHHS website here.  

From 9:20-10:00am, all RHHS students are invited to visit their semester 1 classes.  Here is the schedule for classes:

  • 9:20-9:27 Period 1
  • 9:30-9:37 Period 2
  • 9:40-9:47 Period 3
  • 9:50-9:57 Period 4

At 10:00am, all 9th graders will meet with their homeroom teachers listed on their schedules and Hawks on the Rise mentors.  All new 10th, 11th, and 12th graders will meet with their Nest Navigators in Ms. Curry's Google Meet (new 10th-12th graders should not report to homeroom). Google Meet Codes will be posted on Our Staff page of this website.  Teachers will use the same Google Meet codes for all orientation activities. Student schedules will be released on September 1st.

**Students must be logged into their HCPSS Google accounts to participate in the orientation activities.**

To prepare students for orientation, homeroom teachers will host a quick Homeroom Check-in on Wednesday, September 2nd at 11:00am.  Students will use the same Google Meet Codes for the Homeroom Check-in and orientation activities. The codes will be posted on Our Staff page of this website.

Students should make sure they have their HCPSS login and can access Google Meet.  If a student has forgotten their HCPSS login and/or username, the student should follow the steps on the Account Self-Service page to reset their account.

To access Google Meet in an HCPSS student account: 

  • hcpss.me>G Suite>Login>Google Meet (click on the waffle in the upper right corner beside the HCPSS icon)>enter code to join

 

Students who are new to HCPSS and did not receive the email and/or cannot locate the email in the junk/spam folder of the email account used during registration can use the Forgot Password or Username button on the hcpss.me student landing page to retrieve both the username and password. Account Self Service directions are also posted online.
