Important Information for RHHS Seniors and Families
We look forward to seeing all of the seniors in the Class of 2020 at River Hill HS on THURSDAY, MAY 28, 2020 for diploma and graduation program pick up. If you have any additional school-issued items to return, this is the last opportunity for drop-offs to avoid any financial obligations.
Please see the schedule below for all the details you need to know. (If the weather is not cooperating, we will modify the traffic flow so please follow directions carefully.)
During the pick up process, it is critical that seniors and families maintain all social distancing practices, wear masks and remain in your cars.
To help expedite the process, please write your student's last name on an 8x11 piece of paper and place it on the front dash of your car, so that it will be visible for staff as you arrive.
Students cannot pick up items for other students. Only students and/or the student’s parent/guardian may pick up the graduation items.
If you still have items to drop off...check under beds, under car seats, in backpacks, anywhere school materials could have been buried. Seniors will need to return the following school-owned materials: textbooks, media materials, Chromebooks, athletic uniforms/equipment, and any other obligations or items belonging to RHHS or HCPSS. Place all textbooks and materials to be returned to RHHS in a plastic/shopping/grocery bag or box labeled with your first and last name. (The bag/box will not be returned to you.) Include a Textbook Collection Materials Form in the bag. This form can be printed and filled in, or you can simply write the information on a sheet of paper.
“Lost and Found” Items...we have searched for any of the items you indicated might be in the building: If you still believe you might have an item of critical need in the school building, please email your administrator immediately with the item and the location, and we will try to locate the item one more time; all lockers were left empty when school was dismissed on March 13th, so we can only search for items in specified classrooms. Please contact Ms. Zulma Lancashire (zulma_lancashire@hcpss.org) if you have items from the Health Room that need to be picked up. Unfortunately, students are not permitted to enter the school building to search for missing belongings.

Driving Directions for Diploma Distribution
Cars will enter via the school entrance by the school sign on Route 108. Please be aware that vehicles turning right must take the right merge turn into the right-hand lane. Vehicles turning left must take the left turn into the left-hand lane.
All traffic will need to merge into a single lane to turn right into the bus access in the front of the building.
School staff (wearing RHHS spiritwear) will circulate throughout the drive-through to assist with directions and flow of traffic.
As you approach school, please be ready in order to help with a smooth process:
A paper with the student’s First and Last Name, either on the car dashboard or available to hold up for staff to be visible from a 6 foot distance.
A Textbook/Materials Collection Form (if you have other materials to return) can either be printed/filled in or simply hand-written with the information on a sheet of paper. If you have materials from the ARL, we can collect these as well. Please make sure the items are clearly labeled with the name of each item and the student name.
All textbooks and materials to be returned to RHHS in a plastic/shopping/grocery bag or box, labeled with your first and last name (the bag/box will not be returned to you). Place the completed Textbook/Materials Collection Form in the bag/box.
Follow the directions of staff as they direct you into the bus loop. Stay in your car. A staff member will come to you to take your returns and/or bring you your graduation materials. You will drive through 4 stations, set up similarly to the four stations for cap & gown pick-up. Please be patient as we try to move everyone through efficiently and safely.
