Greetings River Hill High School Community,
The State Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Karen Salmon, has directed that all Maryland public schools remain closed from March 16 - April 24, 2020. This decision supports the state-wide effort to contain the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID - 19) and to keep our children and families safe.
HCPSS is committed to promoting ongoing instructional engagement during this school closure, Howard County Public Schools System (HCPSS) provided instructional materials to all students who were present in school on March 13, 2020. In addition, those resources are posted on the HCPSS website (https://www.hcpss.org/health/coronavirus/#supporting-students-home).
Beginning Monday, March 30, 2020 teachers will be available by email and Canvas to reconnect with students. They will be participating in professional learning in order to support aspects of digital classroom learning. Families can expect to begin hearing from their teachers next week as we reach out to support for students in our high school. Please recognize that in a very short amount of time, every school staff member is working hard to reconstruct our comprehensive education delivery model and our school services. Please also recognize and support each and every educator who is about to re-engage in work while doing their part to stay healthy and care for their own families. It is critical that we implement our Continuity of Learning plan in a way that increases our likelihood for success so that it may serve all Howard County learners in a comprehensive and effective manner.
Contact emails can be located under the STAFF TAB on the RHHS website.
