2019 Fall Sports Information

The fall sports season begins on August 14th.
All 10th, 11th, and 12th graders planning on trying out for a Fall Sport must have a 2.0 GPA with no more than one failing grade for the 4th marking period of the 2018-19 school year.

All 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders will need the following:

Current physical: Howard County policy requires every athlete to have a physical exam dated after April 1, 2019, in order to try out for any high school sport for the school year 2019-2020.

**A Birth Certificate is no longer needed to be turned in for Athletic Participation**

Instructions for Fall Sports Registration.

Go to   https://www.hcpss.org/connect/

  • Login to your connect portal (must be the parental login.  Using your students log in info. will not allow registration)
  • Once logged go to the menu on the left and click HS Athletic Registration.  (if you have more than one student make sure you have selected the student from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.)
  • Click on Athletic Registration.  
  • Complete all forms.  Do not skip or leave any boxes blank.  Please upload physical dated after April 1, 2019.  Older physicals will not be accepted.  Please load BG&E bill dated after June 1, 2019Older BG&E bills will not be accepted
     

All student-athletes must be insured.

All outstanding student obligations must be rectified prior to August 14th tryouts for all potential student-athletes.

Fall Sports Information Night will be on Thursday, August 8th at 7:00 pm in the Auditorium.  Prospective student-athletes can ensure that their participation forms are completed correctly and will have an opportunity to chat with individual coaches about tryouts and the season. One parent or guardian of each fall student-athlete is expected to attend.  Try-outs will begin on August 14th. 

The following is a list of all fall head coaches and their email addresses. Please refer all questions to the coaches, and do not mail information to the school. It may get misplaced.
