Fall Sports Try Out Information

2019 Fall Sports Information

The fall sports season begins on August 8th.
All 10th, 11th, and 12th graders planning on trying out for a Fall Sport must have a 2.0 GPA with no more than one failing grade for the 4th marking period of the 2017-18 school year.

All 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders will need the following:

Current physical: Howard County policy requires every athlete to have a physical exam dated after April 1, 2018 in order to try out for any high school sport for the school year 2018-2019.

River Hill High School Boosters are offering Sports Physicals.   For information and registration, see:  http://www.riverhill.org/

Athletic Participation form.
Proof of residency. This may be a BGE bill, phone bill, etc.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest form.

**A Birth Certificate is no longer needed to be turned in for Athletic Participation**

ALL FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED VIA www.hcpss.org/connect 

All student athletes must be insured.
It is strongly recommended to have concussion testing prior to the first practice. Concussion testing is good for 2 years.

All outstanding student obligations must be rectified prior to August 8th tryouts for all perspective student-athletes.

Fall Sports Information Night will be on Wednesday, August 1st and Monday, August 6th from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the Auditorium.  Prospective student athletes can ensure that their participation forms are completed correctly and will have an opportunity to chat with individual coaches about tryouts and the season. One parent or guardian of each fall student-athlete is expected to attend.  Try-outs will begin on August 8th.  Times and locations for each sport are listed below
