To start the new season, the River Hill "It's Academic" team had an excellent performance defeating Annapolis and Archbishop Spalding in a first round contest. Led by captain Matt Hernandez along with teammates, Olivia Meoni and Sam LeDoux, the River Hill team took a commanding lead midway through the match and never surrendered it.  The remaining members on the team are Sonia Goyal, Ben Cohen, Jordan Abrams, Adam Zaidi, Ali Zaidi, Matt Messer, and Jeffrey Li.  The team coach is Social Studies teacher, James Fisher. The broadcast aired on Saturday, October 7, at 10 am, on WJZ-13 in Baltimore.
