Congratulations to Mary Jane Sasser who has been named as the teacher who had the greatest impact on the student named as the 2016-17 Philip Merrill Presidential Scholar.  Sana Haider is a senior at the University of Maryland, College Park in the School of Public Health and has been awarded this honor.  The University of Maryland recognizes the essential contributions of K-12 teachers to the academic success of our students.  As part of this recognition, Ms. Sasser will be invited to campus for a special day of activities and a $1000 scholarship in her name will be awarded to an incoming UMD student from RHHS or HCPSS  in the Fall of 2017.
