On September 23, 2016, the RHHS Principal and Counselor ITL presented the 27 students who have been named as Commended Students in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program with their certificates. About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their outstanding academic promise. Commended students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.6 million students who took the 2015 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Schools and families play a key role in their academic development and these students exemplify the HCPSS promise of preparation. At RHHS, we are committed to supporting our students' educational opportunities and will continue to encourage them as they pursue their college and career goals.
