Diane Curry, English teacher and English/Language Arts ITL at River Hill High School has been selected to receive the 2016 Maryland Letters About Literature Christine D. Sarbanes Teacher of the Year Award. While there were many outstanding nominations, the selection committee was very impressed by Ms. Curry and her work with the students of River Hill High School.
Please offer her congratulations from our school community! As the winner of this year’s award, she will be honored at our 2016 Letters About Literature Ceremony. The Maryland State Awards Ceremony is on Saturday, April 23rd from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the University of Baltimore School of Law Moot Courtroom in Baltimore (1401 N. Charles Street). A reception will follow the ceremony. We will also honor all of Maryland’s student state finalists, winners and runners up for the Letters About Literature contest that day. The Sarbanes family will be there to personally present the award and cash prize to her.
