Mrs. Contney's Computer Science, Advanced Data Structures class has advanced to the Alliance phase of Spy SPHERES, the Zero Robotics Competition sponsored by NASA and MIT. They are competing by programming NASA SPHERE satellites in a simulated game competition with the goal of being among the finalists to have their code run on a SPHERE Satellite in the International Space Station.  They are currently in 6th place in the USA and 16th place internationally.  They have enjoyed meeting and Skyping several times with one of their mentors, Dr. Jim Gray, who works for Sledgehammer Games in Silicon Valley.  One of his most notable jobs was working on the team that developed the well known game Call of Duty.
