Mark Strauss, artist, writer and Holocaust survivor, shared his experiences as a young boy in Poland during WWII on Thursday and Friday October 8th and 9th. River Hill Students were captivated by Mr. Strauss' emotional and vivid recounting of the death of his family, hiding from the Nazi's and life in the Jewish ghetto of his town. He shared his artwork and many novels with the students and answered their questions. It was an amazing experience for all those who heard him.
