Foreign Exchange Students

Fri, 06/05/2015 - 11:19am

Next school year, some twenty AFS exchange students from around the world will come to Howard County for a life-changing year of cross-cultural sharing. Kilian and Andrea are AFS students at River Hill High School this year. Exchange students live in a family such as yours and attend the high school for your address. Host families volunteer to provide room and board for a student and get to know a great kid and learn more about a different part of the world. Exchange students learn about our American culture from the inside and share about theirs. Students such as these are available for placement:

  • Kilian, 17, is from Germany, and he plays soccer and likes to record electronic music.
  • Clemente, 17, is from Chile, and he participated in his school’s musical for the last two years and loves to play soccer, rugby, and tennis.
  • Arianna, 16, is from Italy, and she is a scout and a dancer.
  • Josefin, 17, is from Sweden and loves trail running.

Howard County’s placement deadline is coming up soon.
