Coming to RHHS December 9th

The Hour of Code, created by Code.org is an introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. Across the nation students will be participating in coding activities; the Hour of Code movement keeps changing the world.

On Wednesday, December 9th RHHS students will participate in Code.org activities at https://code.org/learn.  Students will be able to access the activities on a personal device like a phone, tablet, or laptop. Students will then be able  to explore the different modules. Try it at home with your students.  There are activities for younger siblings as well.

“Computational thinking has become a new basic skill. The Maryland Hour of Code is an opportunity for students from across the State to become familiar with computer science and have fun doing so,” said Maryland Interim State Superintendent of Schools Jack Smith. “Coding provides the first step toward in-demand careers.”  President Obama asks America to learn computer science.
