New Student Orientation

Date: Thursday, August 30, 2018

Time: 8:15 am-12:00 pm

Location: River Hill High School

Bring: A copy of your schedule

Students: All new students are invited to attend an orientation from 8:15am to 12pm. Students should report to the cafeteria where they will be introduced to River Hill, have the opportunity to find their classrooms and meet their teachers. All 9th grade students will then report to their designated areas to meet their mentors and their kettles. They will participate in "get-to-know-you" and team-building activities. Meanwhile, all 10th-12th grade students will talk with a panel of upper-classmen, watch a video, and take a building tour. Students will be dismissed at 12pm, so please plan accordingly. Students should bring their schedules.

Parents: All parents of freshmen and new students are invited to a presentation in auditorium. Parents will learn about the school, programs for their students, and ways they can become involved. Parent session will run from 8:30 am - 9:30 am.
