HCPSS Student Representation

Mon, 09/25/2017 - 10:45am

Are you or someone you know a student at RHHS who is passionate about student leadership? We know our students have strong opinions and valued voices. They can make a difference.

This year, HCPSS is thrilled to introduce the first ever Student Member Convention to select two candidates to run for Student Member of the Board (SMOB). The SMOB serves alongside adult members of the Board of Education and advocates for student voice--your voice!

This school year, student delegates from each middle and high school will attend a convention at Wilde Lake High School on February 21, 2018 to select two candidates whom they feel will best amplify the student voice in our Howard County schools and who will run for the Student Member of the Board.

To apply to be a delegate, please let our SGA Advisory, Mr. Difato, know about your interest and to obtain an application. (Additional applications can be picked up in Student Services or in the Main Office.) Applications are due to our principal, Mrs. McKinley, by November 30, 2017.

Let's make history together!
